Celebrate! The Morgan Inn Kicks off Scholarship Fund to Support Maryland's Local Restaurants!

 We've made it through the rough patch during the pandemic with the support of
our local community.  The Morgan Inn wishes to pay it forward to support
the local restaurants in Maryland.

Woodbine, MD . March 17, 2021 | The Morgan Inn is proud to announce The Morgan Inn Scholarship Fund kicking off today at its 5th Anniversary and COVID Survival Party! 

The Morgan Inn Scholarship Fund was started through the assistance of the Restaurant Association of Maryland's Education Foundation during the pandemic to support the future of local restaurants in Maryland.

In the restaurant and hospitality industry, it is essential to have staff educated to understand health regulations and alcohol awareness. Having this friendly and talented workforce will help sustain our local and small-town restaurants for the benefit of the surrounding community. 
 
Celebrating its fifth anniversary in March 2021, The Morgan Inn has established itself as a place where locals from all walks of life may come to have a warm meal, a drink and have a great time with friends while listening to music and more.  Through a series of pivots since the pandemic hit, The Morgan Inn's owner, Jill Herboldt, was fortunate to be able to skillfully navigate through the rough patch to keep The Morgan Inn open with the support of many friends and community members. In addition to the support from the rural community in western Howard County, Jill believes that the restaurant’s success is due in large part to having well-trained employees who are warm and welcoming, and understand the value the local community brings.   

Jill decided to pay it forward by launching The Morgan Inn Scholarship Fund. The fund’s purpose will give those who wish to pursue a career in the hospitality industry the opportunity to have a good foundation and to supply the much-needed talented workforce to sustain local restaurants in Maryland
